What is an Otaku?
In the very base of its definition the word Otaku is a Japanese word used to describe a fanatic of a certain genre. Internationaly though the word is used more to describe fanatics of the Anime/Manga genre.
Some other ways otaku can be seen though are
anime otaku (a fan of anime)
pasokon otaku (personal computer geeks)
gēmu otaku (playing video games)
gunji otaku (military geeks)
I dont think its an offensive term at all, in fact im pretty sure anyone prided in being into a hobby wouldnt mind enduring a label for their passion. I hope to meet other people who are passionate about anime, games, and other stuff of the nature. Other then that Happy blogging.
